AN INTERVIEW WITH

stikz

G'day fellas.

First and foremost welcome to the family at THR we are beyond stoked to have you boys here and part of this experience.

I want to start this off with a very cliche question for the readers at home. Who and what are stikz to the music scene?

We’re a bunch of dickheads who don’t know what we’re doing (Jono sometimes knows what he’s doing).

You guys have had a very fast rise since your initial formation earlier this year. You won Big Tommo’s battle of the bands within 6 months of you four playing together. How did that make you all feel coming out of the gates like that and achieving something so fast that takes some local bands years to even get close to?

Well it still doesn’t feel like we won it. We got the gig on a few days notice and somehow managed to win the fucken thing. We were just there to have fun and considering the first heat we played was our second gig ever, fuck knows how we managed to take it home.

If you had to describe your musical identity as a band to someone who has never heard of you before how would you describe it?

Bit shit but fun.

When we were shooting the music video for Booze Cruise the other week, did you have any stand out moments that have been living in your head rent free since? Because I sure have, it's when justin broke his drumstick at the end of the song and chucked them at me hahaha.

Recording the car parts was fucken fun, can’t forget about the mud wrestling either.

Lastly whats the go-to show that you four can sit down and watch together that's shuts you all up but keeps you guys passing the beug around?

Nothing beats big lez show.

Any last words for the readers at home leading up to Sundays show at the Indi bar?

Meow.
